Isabel Themido / IO2017 Isabel Themido / IO2017

Prémio Isabel Themido (Isabel Themido prize) intends to reward best papers published by APDIO members. This prize is supported by a fund endowment by the results of the IFORS'93 conference (held in Lisbon) and by additional donations.

Papers published in international journals in 2015 or 2016, written in English, can be nominated by providing the full paper reference (journal, volume, number, pages, and year).

Nominations can be submitted by authors or/and by any APDIO member.

Nominations are submitted by sending a letter and the published paper, by no later than April 16th, 2017, by surface mail to: Departamento de Matemática, Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia, Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Quinta da Torre, 2829-516 Caparica PORTUGAL; A/C Prof. Jorge Orestes Cerdeira ; or sent by email in PDF format to jo.cerdeira@fct.unl.pt by the same deadline.

The APDIO Directory Board will publish a list of nominations until April 30th, 2017, at the APDIO webpage www.apdio.pt.

The jury will be chaired by Prof. José Dias Coelho and will be formed by 4 additional members nominated by the APDIO Directory Board, and there will be no appeal of the results. The jury may award the prize ex-aequo or to assign a honorable distinction to relevant papers. The jury reserves the right not to award the prize.

The prize will be awarded during the IO 2017 conference.

Prémio Augusto Queiróz Novais em “Process Systems Engineering” Prémio Augusto Queiróz Novais em “Process Systems Engineering”

Prémio Augusto Q. Novais (Augusto Q. Novais prize) intends to reward best papers published by APDIO members in the research area of Process Systems Engineering. This prize will award five hundred euros and will be financed by a Capital Fund made up of an amount generated by the ESCAPE 14 Congress (held in Lisbon in 2004) and by future complementary donations.

Papers published in international journals in 2015 or 2016, written in English, can be nominated by providing the full paper reference (journal, volume, number, pages, and year). Paper must be published in international journals in the research ares of "Process Systems Engineering".

Nominations can be submitted by authors or/and by any APDIO member.

The jury will be chaired by Prof.a Ana Paula Barbosa Póvoa (or by Prof. Henrique Aníbal Matos) and will be formed by 2 additional members, being one nominated by the APDIO Directory Board and the other by the juri chair, and there will be no appeal of the results. The jury may award the prize ex-aequo or to assign a honorable distinction to relevant papers. The jury reserves the right not to award the prize.

The prize will be awarded during the IO 2017 conference.

APDIO / IO2017 APDIO / IO2017

The Prémio APDIO / IO 2017 (APDIO / IO 2017 prize) intends to reward the best PhD work in Operational Research. Nomination is possible for works done under a PhD thesis defended in the years 2015 or 2016.

A publication for the IO 2017 conference must be submitted, based on the PhD work under nomination, where the first author (conference speaker) must be the PhD student.

The work must be submited to the conference as a full paper to be published in the conference proceedings.

The necessary documentation in order to be nominated must be sent by suface mail until April 16, 2017, to Departamento de Produção e Sistemas, Escola de Engenharia, Universidade do Minho, 4710-057 Braga – Portugal; A/C Prof. A Ismael F Vaz, or by email, in PDF format, to aivaz@dps.uminho.pt by the same deadline.

The APDIO Directory Board will provide a list of nominations until April 30th, 2017, at the APDIO webpage www.apdio.pt.

The jury will be chaired by the IO2017 Program Committee chair, which will select additional members for the jury and there will be no appeal of the jury decision. The jury may award the prize ex-aequo or to assign a honorable distinction to relevant works. The jury reserves the right not to award the prize.

The prize will be awarded during the IO 2017 conference.
